In our ‘Intentional Use of Self’ class today, we started off with a very powerful video that I wanted to share with all of you!
It’s so inspiring and it’s not surprising that some people may have different views/thoughts about this video. But I think it truly brings to life the fact of how ‘disabilities’ are seen in our society, and how people react to it. It’s unfortunate how people automatically string ‘physical impairment’ together with cognitive impairments as well. People with physical/mental impairments should not be considered any less than anyone else, nor should they be marginalized just because of it. Is it inherent in the person, or is it really society and the environments that limit their ability to do things? Just some food for thought! Hope you guys found this video just as empowering and inspiring as I did!
