We all know that life has its ups and downs, and that sometimes its attributed to external sources. I think personally, it’s always easier to choose the path of less resistance and ultimately say that things didn’t work out the way we planned because of other people.

If happiness is what you want to achieve, why rely on other people to make you happy? Why should your happiness be determined by what other people think of you? Unless of course, the thing you want to achieve is to be socially accepted… the external reward of it all. If you need to change who you are in order to be liked… there’s a slight problem to that. Perhaps its yourself who thinks that you’re not good enough… and you unconsciously incorporate that in terms of how you think other people view you. For example, you may think that people do not like you because of a certain trait, when in reality, it’s only you thinking that.

Sometimes the only thing or the only person stopping you and getting in the way of getting what you want… is yourself.
